Ubisoft has released a short trailer showcasing the two operators coming in the game’s newest expansion, Operation Chimera. The trailer does not reveal much about the operator’s abilities, other than they deal with chemical weapons. The operators are named Lion and Finka, hailing from France and Russia respectively. Both are on theme for the upcoming Outbreak event that will see players pitted against an alien threat in a contaminated zone. Full reveal of the operators’ abilities is expected at the end of the Rainbow Six Invitational on February 18th.
While it is unclear the scale of the layoffs, Hangar 13, developers of Mafia 3 laid off a “significant portion” of their staff Thursday. This is the latest in what has been a long year for studios closing and cutting staff. Publisher 2K has confirmed that the studio layoffs will not affect the progress of any of their future projects.
While nothing has been officially confirmed, it has been rumored by multiple sources that a Spyro trilogy remaster will be making its way to PS4 later this year. It would be no surprise following the highly successful remaster of the Crash Bandicoot trilogy for PS4 in 2017. The rumored release date for the trilogy is Q3 2018, with an announcement coming sometime in March.
For Xbox Insiders and Sea of Thieves closed beta players, Rare is giving another chance to play the game this upcoming weekend to stress test their servers. The content available will be exactly the same as that found in the closed beta. The test runs from 9AM PST this Friday to 9AM PST Sunday.
