Cyberpunk 2077 release announced
CD Projekt Red’s next big game, Cyberpunk 2077 had two big reveals at E3 this year: release date and the inclusion of Keanu Reeves. Cyberpunk will launch on April 16th, 2020, finally giving fans a date to look forward to since the games 2012 announcement. The game is based on an old pen-and-paper role-playing game; it will release for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
Nintendo waited until the end of their E3 2019 Direct to announce that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be getting a sequel. There is very little information as of yet, but we do know that this will be a direct sequel to the first game; with one of the developers wanting “to revisit that Hyrule again”. Game-maker has yet to announce any dates, but there is confirmation that the game will release on Switch.
Google revealed tons of information about their new Stadia platform at their direct in this years’ E3 conference, including over 30 games to be included at launch for Stadia; one of which is the upcoming title Borderlands 3. Borderland’s next installment will release September 13th of this year, and crossover DLC for Borderlands 2 is likely to release soon as well. Stadia has announced pre-order packages, however, with various perks such as trial codes and extended membership as well as game access and a limited edition controller.
Microsoft announced that Gears 5 will release on September 10th for Xbox One and PC at their E3 Press Conference. The Coalition is developing the game, a Vancouver based studio. New to this installment in the series is the “Escape” game mode which is a PvE game mode featuring co-op gameplay.
