Unity launches Safe Voice, a toxicity detection solution for voice chat – VentureBeat.com

Unity is currently conducting a closed beta for Safe Voice, a new toxicity detection program. Developed for use in multiplayer gaming settings, Safe Voice monitors voice characteristics, such as tone and pitch, to provide automated feedback for moderators to “identify potential toxic events.”

A judge rules that a Destiny 2 player must pay almost half a million in damages to Bungie for harassing both the manager and his family. The ruling sets precedent for companies with employees who have suffered harassment and could be used to “improve the level of protection for workers in the game industry.”
