Overwatch 2 launched for players worldwide on Tuesday, and IGN has posted its launch week review. The review covers all the new features in Overwatch 2, new heroes, game modes, the move to a 5v5 format, and more. IGN rates the game 9 out of 10 and considers it a must-play title.
A recent strategy update from CD Projekt Red revealed that the company is working on a new IP being handled directly in-house as well as new titles set in The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 universes. The Witcher’s new in-house entries will be a trilogy developed in Unreal Engine 5 and are codenamed “Polaris”. The new Cyberpunk titles are codenamed “Orion” and will be handled by a new Boston-based CDPR studio named CD Projekt Red North America.
EA has announced a new Need for Speed game coming in December for the Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Criterion is developing the new title as Need for Speed Unbound which will feature an anime-inspired art style in collaboration with rapper A$AP Rocky, who will have his own game mode.
Relic Entertainment announced that Company of Heroes 3 will support modding on day one through the Company of Heroes 3 Essence Editor. Mods will be published through Steam Workshop, allowing players to easily modify gameplay, modes, maps, and tunings with the full power of Essence Engine 5, creating a seamless experience for creators and players alike.
