Call of Duty’s new anti-cheat system includes a kernel-level driver to catch PC cheaters -TheVerge.com

The new anti-cheat system developed internally by Activision will launch first for Call of Duty: Warzone players in the Pacific. The kernel-level driver will operate while the game is running and will shut down once players have exited the game.

 

ArenaNet and Ubisoft veterans create new studio Possibility Space -GamesIndustry.biz

Jeff Strain, the co-founder of ArenaNet, has been joined by industry veterans in creating the new studio, Possibility Space. Stains says that the studio in New Orleans is established to “embrace evolving needs and perspectives for both players and developers.”

 

Sledgehammer Games opens new UK studio -GamesIndustry.biz

Sledgehammer Games has opened a new studio location in Guildford, England. The UK studio will work in conjunction with other newly-opened studios in Melbourne and Toronto to roll out live content for Call of Duty: Vanguard.
