UK regulator blocks Microsoft’s $68.7B acquisition of Activision Blizzard – VentureBeat.com

Citing concern about the potential negative impact of competition in cloud gaming, the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has vote­d to block the $68.7 billion Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Microsoft’s vice chair and president, Brad Smith, expressed disappointment at the outcome, but stated the company remains “fully committed to this acquisition and will appeal.”

Forza Motorsport developer, Turn 10 Studios, is promising revolutionary audio features that will allow even blind players to enjoy the high-end racing simulator. The developer has been working with blind accessibility consultant, Brandon Cole, to ensure that Forza Motorsport is the “most accessible game ever.”
