Ex-developers from studio People Can Fly create a new studio, Gruby Entertainment. This new studio focuses on the development of a new first-person shooter this year. Gruby Entertainment’s team consists of veterans who worked on the recent Outriders, which took off with surprising success.

As part of their earnings report, Zynga announces their acquisition of Chartboost. The latest gain in their journey to grow their mobile gaming platform. However, what differs with Chartboost is that they do not develop games; instead, they work on monetizing ads. Zynga believes they will have to slow down their advertisement campaigns as Apple’s new changes roll out.

 

Ubisoft’s CEO’s son resigns from the company – GameSpot

Charlie Guillemont, son of Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont, resigns from the company. Charlie Guillemont was head of Ubisoft’s Owlient alongside Remi Pellerin, who also stepped down. Both individuals stated their departure from the company was to pursue other opportunities. These departures come during turbulent times for Ubisoft, with a few initiatives underway to change the company’s internal culture.
