Market intelligence firm Newzoo is projecting that cloud gaming will have 24 million paid users by the end of the year. The same analysis expects gaming revenue to be $6.5 billion by 2024, with 61 million users.
Gearbox Entertainment, the Texas-based developer of the Borderlands franchise, is opening a second Quebec studio in Montreal. The new studio will add 250 people to Gearbox’s current headcount of 600 and will focus on both Borderlands and the new IP.
