Facebook to Test in-headset ads in Oculus games – GamesIndustry.biz

Facebook will be starting tests of in-app ads in its Oculus virtual reality ecosystem. Producing a new way to generate revenue from ads is the main reason for this development. Oculus VR users will log in using their Facebook account. Historic data from users will determine ads displayed through Oculus.

 

Ubisoft Massive head stepping down – GamesIndustry.biz

David Polfeldt, Ubisoft Massive managing director, moves into “a new strategic role” with the publisher. Stepping down from his current role as of July 1st, Polfedt will take a sabbatical before returning to that new role. The company has been addressing various internal issues related to its corporate culture in the past year, leading to a few high-level dismissals across the company.
