Jill Braff named head of studio for Bethesda and ZeniMax – GamesIndustry.biz

ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Game Studios will now be led by Jill Braff. In addition to her current role as head of the Microsoft Casual Games Division, Braff will be responsible for leading the ZeniMax/Bethesda game development teams.

China’s National Press and Publication Administration has proposed new guidelines to curb excessive spending on online gaming, which caused shares in the biggest Chinese gaming companies, Tencent and NetEase, to plunge in Hong Kong. The guidelines, which include banning daily log-in rewards and restrictions on first-time purchase incentives, will undergo a 30-day review before being implemented.

The ransomware group Rhysida released over a terabyte of data, including personal employee information, future game titles, and release schedules. Insomniac has confirmed that the development of Marvel’s Wolverine will continue as planned despite the hack.
