Respawn Boss takes control over Dice LA Studio – GameSpot
Vince Zampella, the co-founder of Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is to be head of EA DICE’s LA studio. The LA office will remain separate from DICE Stockholm and Respawn. Zampella has stated the studio will probably rebrand to give it its own identity as they would like to differentiate themselves from the DICE Stockholm branch. In addition to this, Zampella stated that he would remain the head of Respawn entertainment. In his place, Stig Asmussen will lead Respawn’s narrative branch.

Biggest Game Release Dates: Jan 2020 – GameSpot
2019 had many great games release, but 2020 is already shaping up to be another great year for gaming, between Sony and Microsoft announcing their next-gen consoles, and a plethora of highly anticipated games coming out. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne launches for PC early this month, followed by Dragon Ball Z: Kakrarot, and Tokyo Mirage launching the following week. In all, January will start the year strong in the gaming community with seven new titles.

Amazon hosts huge end of year sale – GameSpot
This year Amazon has replaced its Christmas sale with a massive end-of-year sale, spanning from electronics to gaming. Currently, the best deals are for PS4 and Xbox One titles. Switch and PC also have numerous discounts, but many are not as significant. For PS4, one of the most notable discounts is the PS4 Slim bundle at $249 down from $300; and for Xbox, the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition discounted at $172, from $250.

Modern Warfare brings back Grind – Polygon
Grind, a popular objective-based, run-and-gun, co-operative game mode, has made its way to Modern Warfare (2019). Grind first appeared in Ghosts and has since been in other games under various names. In Grind, players compete in a combination of the Kill Confirmed and Hardcore modes. Grind has currently replaced the Drop Zone mode, though it is unclear whether it will stay or not in the future.
