Gamescom 2022 will feature a return of in-person game expo experience in Cologne, Germany. Felix Falk, the co-organizer, describes the expo as a hybrid event where online features and streams will still be available. Bookings for partners and exhibitors are underway.

At Sony’s recent State of Play event, PlayStation revealed several new IPs including Capcom’s dinosaur-fighting game Exoprimal and GigaBash from the Malaysian studio Passion Republic Games. New RPGs introduced were Valkyrie Elysium and The DioField Chronicles.

Grand Theft Auto’s Take-Two is among the latest publishers in the gaming industry to halt sales in Russia. In the last few weeks, Activision Blizzard, Epic Games, Electronic Arts, and CD Projekt RED have all taken steps to halt game sales.

 

God of War TV series reportedly in the works with Amazon – Polygon.com

Negotiations are underway with Amazon to adapt God of War as a live-action TV series. Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, Expanse executive producers, are expected to be working on the project. Amazon is currently working to develop a series from Fallout and Mass Effect as well.
