World of Warcraft Shadowlands now launching in November – GameSpot

WoW Shadowlands was scheduled to release on October 27th but got delayed until November 23rd. A post on the series’ Twitter page clarified that extra time was needed for development to finish polishing. Some of this work includes endgame content and Covenant system rework. The first pre-patch is already live and the pre-launch event is scheduled for November 10th.

 

Rainbow Six Siege’s Halloween event 2020 – Polygon

Rainbow Six Siege has a new holiday event for Halloween 2020. This year’s event runs from October 27th to November 10th and features gameplay similar to Call of Duty’s Kill Confirmed game mode. The mode features 5v5 combat with preselected operators using the event’s new operator and weapon skins. For this event, operators skins seem to take inspiration from the Muppets, bringing in a silly atmosphere to an otherwise serious shooter.

 

Far Cry 6, Cyberpunk 2077 delayed, Elder Scrolls 6 on Xbox – GameSpot

Ubisoft announced that two major upcoming releases are delayed until next year. Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine are now scheduled to launch sometime between April 2021 and March 2022 due to home development complications. Cyberpunk 2077 received its second delay as well, now scheduled for December 10th of this year;  this delay is due to complications of running the game on PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Bethesda states they believe it unlikely Elder Scrolls 6 will be an Xbox exclusive, and that they will continue to publish their own titles.

 

Sea of Thieves’ Halloween season – Polygon

Sea of Thieves’ new update, Fate of the Damned, changes some of the game’s atmosphere and lore. This year, players can embark on voyages for the Bilge Rats to the map’s four zones. As players make these voyages, they’ll learn more about the skeletons and meet some old characters. Anyone who completes challenges will get rewards and treasure, including a special skull that initiates a raid on the Fort of the Damned. Additionally, a new in-game menu is on its way, which will help with tracking event progress.
