A new industry survey from the Game Developers Conference indicates that developers remain cool to the metaverse and blockchain projects. The survey’s 2,300 respondents also show broad developer support for unionization in the industry and a concern about online harassment and toxicity.

The source code for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and a “legacy anti-cheat platform” were recently stolen by hackers in a ransom attempt. Riot Games has announced that they will not pay the ransom and have assured customers that player data was not affected by the breach.

Microsoft stealthily released an Xbox and PC exclusive title from Tango Gameworks mere hours after the game’s announcement in Wednesday’s Xbox Developer Direct. Hi-Fi Rush is an action brawler from The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo developer and is available now on Xbox and PC Game Pass.

 

Call of Duty’s DMZ mode is getting a big nerf, plus more changes to Warzone 2.0 – Polygon.com

The upcoming February 15th update to Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will bring with it substantial changes to the titles. Warzone 2.0 will be updated with game-play changes leveling out the playing field between players. The AI in DMZ game mode will be re-balanced to create a more even playing environment for solo players.
