Company of Heroes 3 Release Date Revealed – IGN.com

The next entry in Relic Entertainment’s popular Company of Heroes series will be released on November 17. Company of Heroes 3 will feature four playable factions, a host of new gameplay mechanics, and two campaigns set in Italy and North Africa. Mission Alpha, based on the North African Operation campaign, is currently available to players for testing and community feedback.

 

Jagex acquires Pipeworks Studio to grow in North America – VentureBeat.com 

RuneScape developer, Jagex, has announced its acquisition of Oregon-based developer, Pipeworks Studio. The studio has shipped over 120 games, including The Walking Dead: Last Mile. It will add its PC and console games-as-a-service expertise to Jagex’s portfolio. In addition, Jagex announced it is working on a new, unnamed IP described as an open-world survival game built on Unreal Engine 5.

 

Riot Games and AWS are teaming up to deliver fresh esports content – VentureBeat.com

Riot Games is teaming up with Amazon Web Services to enhance its esports broadcasts. AWS will become Riot’s official platform for cloud services including AI, machine learning, and deep learning with the goal of providing in-depth statistics like those offered by major sports leagues.

 

Warframe’s creators are making a new fantasy MMO called Soulframe – Polygon.com

Warframe developer, Digital Extremes, has announced a new free-to-play action hybrid MMO is in development. Soulframe looks to bring the frenetic sci-fi action of Warframe to a slower-paced fantasy setting. Additionally, Digital Extremes is partnering with developer Airship Syndicate for another separate fantasy MMO; although details are scarce currently.
