The Nintendo Switch Online Service is Launching on September 18th
Nintendo’s new Switch online service is launching on September 18th. Users will be able to download a seven-day trial from the Switch store before committing to a subscription. The service is much like Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. Switch’s service will require users to pay to play certain games online. To sweeten the deal, subscribers will also get access to online-enabled NES games, which includes titles such as Super Mario Bros. 3 and The Legend of Zelda. Subscriptions can be purchased for a month, three month, or entire year. Individual and family options are available. Subscriptions costs start at $3.99 month, $7.99 for three months, or $19.99 for an entire year. The family option is available for $34.99 a year for up to seven family members.

Epic Games Announce the Fall Skirmish, 6 Weeks of Competitive Fortnite
Epic Games is wasting no time gearing up for the next competition on Fortnight. Just weeks after the successful conclusion of Summer Skirmish, the developer’s first long-term Fortnite competition, Epic announced on Twitter on Monday afternoon that the Fall Skirmish event would be starting soon. The prize pool, according to Epic, will have a total of $10 million, which will be given out to the top performing competitors during the six weeks of competition. Beyond that not much else is known about what to expect. t’s unclear if this Skirmish event will once again end with a blowout celebration like the Summer Skirmish at PAX West, but if it does, it’s likely that fans will have another chance to compete for their own share of the price pool this fall.
