Sims Creator Will Wright Teaches Game Design Via MasterClass
Famed game developer Will Wright is teaching a massive class on games – via MasterClass. In his class, Wright covers a slew of game design topics, like generating new concepts, creating game mechanics, player psychology, and mental modeling. Best known for his work creating SimCity and The Sims, Wright has had a celebrated career in game development.
Following the abrupt closure of Telltale Games and the subsequent resurrection of its Walking Dead series by Skybound Games, the third episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season is now scheduled to release on January 15, 2019. As Skybound recently announced, episodes three and four of The Final Season will be exclusive to the newly launched Epic Games Store – unless you’ve already purchased them elsewhere.
The UK Chart Christmas No.1 is Red Dead Redemption 2
The final update of the UK’s high-street retailer charts is now live and, as predicted, Rockstar’s epic western adventure Red Dead Redemption 2 is this year’s Christmas number one.
The Christmas Top Ten features a glut of great titles, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Marvel’s Spider-Man and yes, of course, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
PS4 PlayStation Plus Games for January 2019 Announced
PS4 owners can pick up Steep, an extreme sports game from Ubisoft that lets you ski, snowboard, and glide in a wing suit to go from a mountain’s snowy peaks to its powdery base. The other PS4 game for January is Portal Knights, which takes the building component of Minecraft and constructs around it an RPG that encourages crafting and exploration.
